We recently rebuilt the FAQ on the Satya website.

That may not sound like a particularly interesting announcement. But after working with a large number of people considering psilocybin services, we realized how important a good FAQ actually is.

People usually come to us with practical questions.

How do I get started?
How much does it cost?
How do I choose a facilitator?
Is psilocybin safe?
What happens during a session?
Can I drive home afterward?
What if I’m nervous about having a difficult experience?

And then there are the questions people often don’t know to ask until they get further into the process.

What happens during preparation?
How is psilocybin dosed?
What medications should I discuss with my facilitator?
What happens immediately after a session?
What is integration?
How does Satya grow and test its psilocybin?
What should I know if I’m traveling to Ashland?

Our old FAQ contained a lot of useful information, but it had grown over time. We wanted to step back and organize it around the questions people are actually trying to answer.

Starting with the questions that matter most

The new FAQ begins with a Start Here section covering ten of the questions we hear most often.

From there, you can go deeper into the subjects that matter to you.

The complete FAQ is organized around choosing a facilitator, eligibility and safety, preparation, dosing, what happens during a session, what the experience may be like, groups and couples, integration, traveling to Ashland, our service center, how we grow and test psilocybin, research, pricing and other practical questions.

You don’t need to read all of it.

The idea is to make it easier to find the information you need without having to work your way through information you don’t.

We also wanted the FAQ to lead somewhere

One of the other changes is that the FAQ is now more closely connected to the rest of our website.

If you want to learn more about our facilitators, you can go directly to that information. If you have questions about pricing, our service center and therapy rooms, our grow operation, or psilocybin research, the FAQ connects you to those resources.

That was important to us because an FAQ shouldn’t be a dead end. Sometimes a short answer is enough. Sometimes it raises another question.

We wanted both to be easy.

There isn’t one question everyone should ask

People come to Satya for very different reasons and with very different levels of familiarity with psilocybin.

Some people have spent months reading research before they contact us. Others are starting with a much simpler question: What actually happens if I decide to do this?

Both are reasonable places to begin.

We tried to build the new FAQ with that in mind. It doesn’t assume you already understand Oregon’s psilocybin system, and it doesn’t assume that everyone wants the same amount of detail.

If you’re considering psilocybin services—or are simply trying to understand how the process works—the new FAQ is a good place to start.
