A Personal Commitment to Those Who Served
In 1985, Satya co-founder Andreas Met attended Marine Corps Officer Candidate School. Although he ultimately chose a different path and did not accept a commission, the experience left him with a deep respect for those who answered the call to serve.
Many of Andreas’s closest friends went on to serve in the United States military, including during Operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. Witnessing the lasting effects that military service and combat can have on veterans reinforced a conviction that those who have served our country deserve access to compassionate, high-quality care and support.
That belief has become part of Satya’s foundation.
As a small expression of our gratitude, Satya offers a discounted all-inclusive Veterans Psilocybin Services Program for $900. We sincerely wish our business model allowed us to offer these services at even lower cost—or, when possible, free of charge. Unfortunately, Oregon’s regulated psilocybin program requires significant licensing, compliance, testing, and operational expenses that make that financially difficult.
Even so, we never want cost alone to prevent a veteran from reaching out. Andreas has personally reduced fees for veterans facing financial hardship, and we will always do our best to work with those who need assistance. If financial circumstances are creating a barrier, please let us know. While we cannot promise every request can be accommodated, we will make every reasonable effort to help.
To every veteran: thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and the commitment you made on behalf of our country. It is our privilege to serve you.
Choosing the Right Facilitator
Experience You Can Trust
Each participating facilitator has supported more than 100 clients through Oregon’s regulated program. They have experience helping clients navigate fear, difficult emotions, challenging experiences, and significant life transitions.
Different Styles Work for Different Veterans
Some veterans prefer a structured, clinically grounded approach, while others seek a relational, intuitive, or spiritually oriented experience. It is important to choose a facilitator with whom you feel comfortable. Talking with more than one facilitator can be valuable when making that decision.
Preparation and Integration Shape Outcomes
Meaningful change depends not only on the journey itself, but on how the experience is prepared for and integrated afterward. Your facilitator will support you before, during, and after your administration session.

Andreas Met — Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator & Co-Founder of Satya Therapeutics — $900 All-Inclusive for Veterans
I helped start Satya because I believe psilocybin can be an incredibly powerful tool for change when it is used thoughtfully, safely, and with the right support.
My own relationship with psychedelics goes back roughly 40 years. I've seen enough over that time to have a great deal of respect for what these medicines can do—and enough to know that they aren't magic and they don't do the work for you.
My job as a facilitator isn't to tell you what your experience means. It's to help create a safe environment where you can have your own experience and discover what it means to you.
My background
I've had a fairly unconventional life.
I've built businesses, had successes and failures, raised a family, changed directions more than once, and spent a lot of time trying to understand what makes a meaningful life.
I also started Brazilian jiu-jitsu when I was 50 and eventually earned my black belt. Jiu-jitsu taught me a lot about getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. You learn not to panic simply because you're in a difficult position. You learn to stay present, breathe, pay attention, and work with what's actually happening rather than what you wish were happening.
There are times when I see some of those same lessons in psychedelic work.
A difficult experience isn't necessarily a bad experience. Sometimes the instinct is to get away from something uncomfortable when the more useful response may be to become curious about it.
How I facilitate
My style is pretty straightforward.
I listen carefully. I don't judge. I don't have an agenda for what your experience should look like, and I don't try to tell you what it means.
Before your session, I want to understand why you're here. What is happening in your life? Why are you considering psilocybin now? What are you hoping for? What are you concerned about?
Some people come to Satya with a very clear intention. Others simply know that something in their life isn't working anymore and they want to look at it differently.
Both are perfectly reasonable places to start.
During the session, my role is primarily to be present and pay attention. If you're having a beautiful experience, you don't need me inserting myself into it. If things become difficult, I'm comfortable sitting with that too.
I've learned that sometimes the most useful thing a facilitator can do is simply remain calm, present, and available.
After the experience
I think integration matters.
A profound experience can be meaningful in the moment, but the more important question is often what happens afterward.
Did you see something differently? Did you recognize a pattern? Is there a conversation you need to have? Is there something in your life you want to change?
You don't have to turn every insight into an action. But if an experience shows you something important, I think it's worth spending some time asking what you want to do with it.
Who I work well with
I tend to connect well with people who appreciate a facilitator who is compassionate but also straightforward.
I'm particularly interested in working with people who are thinking about purpose, relationships, identity, responsibility, personal growth, or a significant transition in their lives.
I also understand people who have spent much of their lives trying to solve problems intellectually. I've done plenty of that myself. Sometimes another way of looking at ourselves can be useful.
You don't need to arrive with the perfect intention or know exactly what you're looking for.
You just need to be willing to be curious about what comes up.
Why I continue doing this work
After sitting with many people through psilocybin experiences, what continues to interest me is how different every person and every experience can be.
There isn't a formula.
I've watched people laugh, cry, struggle, become quiet, confront difficult things, experience tremendous joy, and sometimes simply see an old problem from a completely different perspective.
I don't know what your experience will be, and I won't pretend that I do.
What I can offer is experience, attention, honesty, and a steady presence while you have it.
Ultimately, the experience belongs to you.
And I think that's exactly how it should be.
