The region’s natural resources, including mineral springs, have long been recognized for their therapeutic properties, with local resorts offering restorative experiences since the 1890s.

Today, Ashland continues its legacy of healing through various practices, including licensed psilocybin services like Satya Therapeutics aimed at mental health improvement, reflecting a blend of traditional and modern approaches.

A founder of Satya Therapeutics, Andreas Met, grew-up in the Rogue Valley having graduated from Sacred Heart, Medford Mid and Senior High School and finishing his BA at Southern Oregon State College. The Met family chose Ashland as the perfect location to start this leading business.

Ski Mt. Ashland

An intimate ski area, we’ve been skiing it for the past 47 years. If you like mellow check out Dream, and if like steep then it’s the Bowl. About 30 minutes from down-town depending on weather and snow conditions.

Crater Lake National Park

About 2 1/4 hours from Ashland (depending upon snow conditions), Crater Lake is a must-see. The entrances do close in the Winter, so make sure to call ahead. And traction devices may be necessary to get there.

One of our favorite Italian restaurants. Book early.

Jedediah Smith Redwoods Park

About 2 1/4 hours from Ashland is one of our favorite places on the planet. Amazing trees along the pristine Smith River. Better to visit when it’s not raining.

Oregon Shakespear Festival

Starts again in March, 2025. We see several plays each season and they are incredible.

I can’t say enough positive things about Satya Therapeutics! The psilocybin treatment did what no other treatment did for me - it worked. Before going up to Ashland to Satya I spoke with Andreas and Jennifer at length about what to expect. They were extremely helpful and informative. Later I spoke with my facilitator Dabney Finney. She was also extremely helpful and I am so grateful I went and did the treatment. I had been battling PTSD, grief, anxiety and depression for almost three years. This treatment worked! I feel like ME again. I haven’t felt this way is so long. Thank you Satya for giving me my life back!! Thank you Dabney for helping me through my journey! I would absolutely recommend anyone who needs help with PTSD, grief, anxiety and depression to call and speak with the team at Satya.

My experience with Satya Therapeutics was a game changer for me. The staff was professional and very accommodating in making me comfortable about taking this journey. I'm 78 years old and have suffered from bipolar depression and anxiety my whole life. Unfortunately I was misdiagnosed and given the wrong medications medications for many years. After getting a definitive diagnosis I was prescribed lamictal which really helped with mood swings but I was still left with a constant low grade depression. After participating in a supervised treatment with mushrooms in a professional setting...well, it was life changing. My depression was lifted and the after effects have lasted so far. I'm not sleeping away half of my day anymore. I'm up and about around seven and I'm dreaming at night again and remembering them! Most importantly I got relief from lingering feelings of guild and anxiety that I have carried for a very long time. My facilitator, Michael Rhodes, was wonderful. He offered a wealth of information on the process. He was patient and kind before, during and after my treatment. He gave me good council and I'm so grateful to have had him as my facilitator. .

I can’t speak highly enough of my experience with my facilitator Michael Rhodes. I came into this with a lot of anxiety over many many things. Michael is an extremely calming presence. He contacted me straight away when I wanted to work with him. He comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
My initial meeting with him was extremely calming. He showed me how to work on my breathing, which was extremely important during my journey. He really made me feel like he truly understood what I was going through, and was very caring about my situation.
The actual experience with the medicine is one that can’t be described, so I’m not gonna really try to. All I can say is that at times it was a bit frightening, I was in a very new space that I had never experienced before. And the things that came out of it for me were profound. Michael was extremely helpful during the whole thing. And helped keep me calm during moments that I felt like I was really upset.
It’s been a week since my experience and he has kept in contact with me, making sure that I am doing well and I greatly appreciate him doing so. I would recommend this experience. I do not have the anxiety I had, and I feel so much calmer in general. I have a much better perspective on life and I am so glad I did this. It was a profound experience. The staff at Satya was also very, very wonderful and helpful during this time.

Rebecca Mehta facilitated my journey at Satya, and her steady, warm, compassionate presence was foundational in my being able to receive what the medicine had to offer me. Rebecca was unfailingly grounded in her presence with me as I traveled through a whole spectrum of experiences from levity and joy to deep grief and tears. I have so much gratitude for the whole experience and for Rebecca's part in it.
